Volunteer Steward Needed

We are currently seeking an extra volunteer to become a Society Steward. If you have three hours a week to volunteer with us then we would love to hear from you.

Each Steward mans our Heritage Centre for one afternoon a week, answering questions from members of the public.

When they start no Steward feels that they know enough about the area to answer questions but mostly it is a matter of understanding which of our resources to look in. If the answer cannot be found then getting the details of the query and leaving a note for other Stewards means that somebody can get back to the enquirer. Training in the use of our resources will, of course, be given.
