Bitterne Heritage Week

A series of events in and about Bitterne in partnership with Bitterne Conservative Club

Tuesday 10th 8:00pm
An illustrated talk on Old Bitterne Village will be given by Ian Abrahams.
The venue – Bitterne Conservative Club – in Dean Road SO18 6AN.
The talk is free and available to all – visitors [to the Club] will be asked to sign in, and refreshments will be available to purchase.

Friday 13th 6:45pm start
A Guided Walk around Old Bitterne Village led by Keith Marsh will depart from outside the Red Lion at 7:00pm.

Saturday 14th 7:00pm
Normal BLHS Meeting with talk on SS Shieldhall by Graham Mackenzie in U R Church.

Sunday 15th 12-4:00pm
At Bitterne Conservative Club over lunch till 4:00pm a Display of Local Artefacts will be manned by a team from BLHS who will endeavour to answer questions and sell Local Publications. A display board will remain on view throughout the week (from Sun 8th) showing pictures / maps of local interest together with information about Bitterne Local History Society.
